When to go, and what to do

Winter

Our holiday season. Everyone gathers by the fireplace and it gets really cozy, with weekend snow play at Hurricane Ridge and storm watching on the coast.

Spring

Everything comes back to life after winter. The rain forest turns its greenest and the waterfalls run at full power.

Summer

So underrated here. Warm, sunny days that never get too hot, with wildflower meadows, kayaking on Lake Crescent and long coastal sunsets.

Fall

Kim's favorite season. Washington is at its most beautiful when the leaves turn gold and red, with quiet trails and cozy nights by the fire.
